Music venues are rarely built to last — often demolished, over-engineered, or built new when adaptation could work instead. Existing industrial buildings, like the former Gist-fabriek in Delft, are too often treated as expendable. Can a venue be both immersive and sustainable?
Yeast, Delft grafts two contrasting volumes onto the existing factory — a sealed black box, clad in charred timber and tuned for acoustic precision, against an open greenhouse staging vertical farming and a restaurant.
